Via Collective is an award-winning wayfinding and information design firm that creates solutions for the built environment. WBE and DBE-certified, we are small and mighty, working on big-city projects. We believe in respect, integrity, and collaboration with each other and our clients, and are looking for driven, ambitious, and fun people to join our team. This is a hybrid position with our office located near Bryant Park.

Working within the urban context, we design interior and exterior wayfinding systems that span a multitude of sectors including government, education, health care, and transportation. We are looking for a highly motivated, resourceful, and detail-oriented team player with 5-8 years of experience specifically in project management of wayfinding projects to join our team.

You will work directly with clients and the design team to develop schedules, manage budgets, and coordinate deliverables. High standards of organization, customer service, a positive attitude, a drive for success, and strong written and verbal communication skills required. You will be involved in coordinating all phases of the design process including; meeting scheduling and documentation, coordination of deliverables to clients from designers, and managing scopes and budgets. 75% of the work will be existing projects and 25% will be new business development and administrative work.

Must have a solution-driven attitude and a positive approach to team collaboration and building client relationships. The ability to ask good questions, take ownership of your work,  and take pride in delivering high-quality work is absolute.


  1. Manage large-scale multiple projects and clients simultaneously
  2. Establish and implement project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with company policies
  3. Management of the entire project lifecycle from definition/scope through implementation
  4. Act as a technical resource for the project team and lead design review meetings
  5. Lead client communication and coordination including issuing agendas, notes, and schedules
  6. Coordinate and prioritize project needs, resources, and information internally and with the client project teams to move the project forward 
  7. Identify required and optional changes in project scope and negotiate changes with clients as warranted or best practices suggest
  8. Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle; including coordinating with clients, vendors, and other project partners
  9. Work with the Principal and New Business Coordinator, contributing to the technical direction of new business proposals including project scope, budget, and timeline
  10. Work with the Principal and Finance Director to assess and discuss the optimization of project finances and opportunities


  1. Proven success in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, with high attention to detail, with outstanding organizational skills
  2. Experience with and enjoyment of face-to-face interaction with clients
  3. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  4. Self-motivated, takes initiative, and is resourceful, with an eagerness to contribute, learn, adapt, and grow
  5. An open, positive, and empathetic personality
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to clients
  7. Consistently demonstrate him/herself professionally and carry out supervisory responsibilities per the organization’s policies and applicable laws
  8. Ability to successfully lead others; including but not limited to planning, assigning and directing work, resolving problems, training and developing a team, and participating in knowledge transfer
  9. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office programs, and Google Suite Applications.
  10. This is a full-time remote position however you must have easy access to New York City and the surrounding area as local travel to meetings or site visits will not be reimbursed.

Required Background:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in design, business management, communications, or related discipline
  2. 5-8 years of experience with a wayfinding design firm or at an architecture firm working specifically on wayfinding projects.
  3. Understanding of architectural drawings, scale, product materials, and implementation options
  4. Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
