We are seeking an experienced, talented intermediate level architect with at least 4 years of full time professional experience to join our team as Project Architect/Designer.  A Project Architect/Designer will lead multiple design projects, manage consultants, interface with clients, and work closely with the principals to develop and manage the projects from design conception to construction completion.   They should have a good understanding of construction detailing, and ability to research and specify materials.

Harper Design Build, is a Brooklyn based cooperative of architects, interior designers, and contractors. We are a full service design firm that aims to provide information our clients need at the early stages of design to determine the feasibility and cost of their projects. Throughout the project we work alongside our clients in a collaborative effort to develop the vision for the project. Incorporating the functional needs for every day living is just as relevant as integrating timeless details and finishes into the high-quality designs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A professional degree in Architecture
• Minimum 4 years of experience as an Architect
• Experience with multiple phases of the design process from conception to completion
• Project coordination and management skills including the ability to work on their own in all aspects of the project
• Experience with consultant coordination including structural and MEP
• Experience with construction administration, technical detailing, specifying and purchasing
• Ability to take initiative while also receiving instruction
• Great team player who is comfortable working in a small office
• Comfortable with multitasking and chipping in where needed

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

• Vectorworks - experience with this program is a plus
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficient in Excel and Word
