HWKN is hiring an Architectural Professional II (AP II). The firm is expanding with ambitious projects across the globe. Ongoing international and US ventures include projects ranging from large-scaled mixed-use and commercial work to creative prefabricated systems and impactful interior designs.   

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about innovative design and thrives in a high energy creative environment. We are seeking highly professional candidates who can join the team. The role requires a spirited team player who enthusiastically incorporates dynamic design-thinking, values iteration, and is equally comfortable working independently and in collaboration. The best candidates will have a demonstrated enthusiasm for an academic design studio environment with knowledge of all design phases. Expectations:

  • Work on conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents
  • Generate innovative formal and conceptual ideas in a fast paced design studio
  • Collaborate on construction documentation, site supervision, and client contact
  • Communicate effectively in both speech and writing
  • Manage time efficiently and intelligently
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Know when to take initiative and when to seek guidance
  • Demonstrate a sense of design sensibility and craftsmanship
  • Demonstrate an exacting attention to detail
  • Manage expectations of supervisors and clients


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  • 3-6 years relevant work experience in the United States
  • Experience with conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and other graphic platforms
  • Must be legal to work in the US
