Focus Lighting, a fast-paced, innovative, and
award-winning architectural lighting design firm based in New York City, has an
immediate opening for a full-time Revit Designer. This is an extraordinary
opportunity for a candidate that is intelligent, energetic, and who is eager to

The candidate will be responsible for supporting successful
project delivery for all phases of Revit modeling.
Duties include:
Create initial Revit model setup based
on individual project BIM Execution Plans and Focus Revit standards.
Coordinate BIM process with outside
collaborators to ensure smooth and painless process
Content creation (i.e. fixture
families) including custom lighting fixture families as needed.
Create, edit, and manage detailed
design drawings through all design phases using Revit.
Assist in organizing, compiling and
transmitting project deliverables.
Assist in the continual improvement of
company Revit standards and modeling protocol to meet and exceed current
industry best practices.
Assist with onboarding of new hires
with Focus Revit standards, and hands on Revit training.
Troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications Include (but are not
limited to the following):
Minimum of 4 years of professional
work experience with Revit.
BIM Management Experience
4-year degree in Architecture,
Technical Theatre / Theater Design, Engineering, Construction or related field.
Be proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (especially
Excel) and Adobe Suite and be able to learn new software easily.
Working knowledge of other 3D Modeling software
such as Sketchup, Rhino and 3ds Max a plus.
Experience in hospitality or retail design
industry a plus.
Experience in theatrical or architectural
lighting design a plus.
Have excellent written and verbal communication
skills.
Be highly organized and detail oriented.
Be able to manage multiple projects
simultaneously, work both independently and collaboratively, and function well
under pressure.
