Bento Box LLC seeks a designer to work with our in-house furniture, interior and product design team. Bento Box is a small footprint living lifestyle takeover platform that includes:

Bento Homes LLC—a design builder of small footprint living detached and attached single family homes.

Bento Living LLC—a designer, developer, operator of small footprint co-live-work properties, with our first property coming on-line January 2019 in Nashville, TN;

Bento Build LLC—a designer, fabricator, and builder of small footprint properties and products, located in Brooklyn, NY;

Bento Marketplace LLC—a small footprint living everything store, coming on-line third quarter 2018.

We are seeking an Industrial designer who has experience both with furniture design and architectural products to head up the development of a line of modular furniture as well as oversee and assist in prototyping, production and manufacturing of projects and products of numerous scales.

Our ideal designer has a good mix of the following qualities:

• 3-5+ years of experience
• In-depth experience in guiding furniture design through to manufacturing (must have)
• Project management skills
• Strong design sensitivity
• Excellent visualization skills, hand sketching and 3D base
• Working knowledge base in Solidworks, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite. (Rhino and RhinoCam knowledge is a plus)
• Passionate about new design technology & Rapid Prototyping
• Creative problem solver
• Articulate communicator
• Strong interpersonal skills work well in a small team
• Detail oriented and organized
• Must have authorization to work in the USA
• Knowledge of (construction, design and production of built in furniture, cabinets, kitchen, bath and millwork a Plus.)
