Guerin Glass Architects is currently seeking a BIM Manager in our Brooklyn office.

Candidates must have a professional degree in Architecture and 7+ years of architectural experience or real-world experience equivalent. They should have comprehensive design and documentation skills and be able to demonstrate experience in a wide range of project types, including hospitality, commercial, and residential design. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with software deployments and team management.

While the position will have a primary concentration on BIM management, it will also involve collaboration with the entire design team throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. The BIM Manager will be the main point of contact for the design team on all design software. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with and assisting senior staff to:
    • Update and maintain our office’s design standards and BIM libraries
    • Implement BIM structure to facilitate consistency and maintain quality control on all projects
    • Interface with other design applications and setup of projects on Revit
    • Review projects with design teams, ensure standards are being maintained
    • Consultant Interface
    • Stay up-to-date on design industry software updates, upgrades, and best practices, etc.
    • Mentorship and management of team members on all software training initiatives

Software Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office, BluBeam Revu, and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Experience in parametric modeling, customization, and programming
  • Experience with workflows, interfacing models in different rendering software
  • Must have experience in Rhino, V Ray, Grasshopper, Dynamo, and/or Sketchup


  • Relationship management skills
  • Strong communication, writing, and graphic design skills
  • Proactive and collaborative
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and efficient
  • Capable of working in a rapid paced workflow
  • Architectural registration and LEED certification are a plus
