The Market Exchange, a CAT A office refurbishment project completed in 2021, is situated just a 10-minute walk from Covent Garden. My role involved the design of various aspects of the space. This included the meticulous design of the offices situated on the ground and first floors, and the ground-level shower rooms, cycle storage, and lockers. In addition to my design responsibilities, I was responsible for preparing presentations and producing key drawings for the tendering process. This included the reflected ceiling plan and mechanical drawings, which involved strategically placing the duct system and ensuring optimal lighting placements throughout the space.

The project’s tight schedule provided an opportunity to develop my ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively with the contractor’s team, as the project was procured under a Design & Build contract. I attended progress meetings and was responsible for taking minutes.
