The project is conceived as a medium density residential complex that blends city life within an urban context, consists of 1,800 residential units. It complies with the desire of the Ministry of the Presidency and the Commission Retrofitting for Barquita to supply the demand for housing in the Capital City, densified lots that are currently unused and, in turn, it would be conveying new life into the sector.
The proposal is developed to create urban spaces and recreational spaces, interlocking different buildings with the surrounding environment, the community and nearby neighborhoods. The project is a government initiative to provide adequate and safe housing for an impoverished community which currently is distributed among the flooding zone of the riverbed of the Ozama River.
Integra designs and documents civil engineering works with software AutoCAD Civil 3D®. In the design stage, the project is modeled with all civil work components for infrastructure including:
• Water Distribution System
• Sanitary Sewer System
• Storm System
• Roadway System
• Leveling and Earthmoving
• Geometry
• Creation of surface models in three
dimensions
• Conflicts of utilities infrastructure
The Residential Development for La Barquita Community is an example of using Civil3D® as a working tool for the design of civil infrastructure. This tool allows more accurate determination of work performance of a project, maintains data and more coherent processes. Also, adapts more quickly to changes.
