This one-of-a-kind home was built in 2014 for a family of five (parents and three children). The house, located in a country club development with strict design guidelines governing many of the exterior characteristics of the building, found its inspiration in the classic west-coast ranch house style – a single story structure with low-pitched, sloped roofs and an open, asymmetrical floor plan centered around the backyard and patio. The house is clad in a protective layer of stone, wood, metal and stucco against the harsh Colorado weather. Views out to the golf course landscape, sunlight, shade, easy outdoor living, kids racing about; these are the qualities that most factored into the design.
An open plan living and dining space connected to the deck terrace becomes the main social area of the residence. Defined by wood and stone accents, the interiors are a modern display of elegance, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Furnishings are simple, sleek and modern. The fully equipped kitchen features high-end appliances. A stairway leads the way towards the lower level, where additional bedrooms, bathrooms, TV room, reading room, wine cellar and storage are located.
