Gymnasium Design?

Does anyone know any good designs for Gymnasiums?
My boss is having me do research on Gyms, and for the most part I am coming up very empty on interesting designs, particularly those that don't look like giant empty warehouses... I have done multiple design options, all of which have not passed the test, so I was wondeirng if anyone had any good precedents to look at? I'm hoping for something in the range of a high school/small college gym with 2k seats and some sort of interesting ceiling/roof scheme (ie not the typicaly trusses running over giant span of mechanical spaghetti). Any help would be great!

Also check out Ingall's Rink by Eero Saarinen. Not so much a gym, but is a really beautiful and interesting solution for the long span structure.

When creating the design architecture of a gym, you should consider both the design of the building and the layout of your equipment. This requires both expertise and experience. It won’t be a bad idea to get professional help for your gym design . Companies like AF Products

As far as gymnasiums go, I still admire the one by 3LHD in Croatia:

Other than that, I've seen some really nice ones in Switzerland, like the one by Bétrix & Consolascio in Zug, for instance:

However, most of these don't have the seating capacity you've mentioned in your post...
