In reality, how can workers keep building always stack in the right location? For example, highrise, how can we make sure the building is in a straight line when it go up?
Straight lines actually only exist on paper. Your specs define a tolerance out of plumb or off of center for construction. Not sure what you're really asking. Even with a laser, the light is effected by gravity and weather conditions.
A plumb level / and or laser is the best method..and of course there are requirements for your structure to be surveyed to insure that you are not infringing on the air rights of an abuttor. In the end, regardless of intent...you can't infringe on property that is not yours.
hey CMRHM i know what you mean because ON THE FENCE try to make joke but stupid because egyptans make pyramids which have angle sides and not straight up and down anyways.
always some kind of smart allic here.
Soooo, egyptians only built pyramids? I wasn't aware of that factoid. Were the angled sides straight as in "in line"? For some odd reason I keep thinking egyptians built more than pyramids. I may have to go google it.

don't use american labor?
wow.
Is this a serious question?
Crud, the egyptians were able to do it 3000 years ago.
Slave labor might be your only method.

tell that to taggers 'TANDEM' and 'NONUTS' who hit the curb near my house yesterday and where i was a-scrubbin' with my wire brush this mornin' :(
Straight? Make sure it watches plenty of Disney channel, hangs out with the right friends and loves Jesus.
Don't let the building watch Bravo or CNN. And definitely do not let the building try marijuana.
C'mon, I'm waiting on a good Viagra joke...
. . .and on Pride weekend, too. . .!
i usually build from the top down so if the ground isn't level that would be the last thing i would need to tweek....
plus there is a lot of wheat/gluten in processed foods
Does the economy stress u guys fuckking out? I am seriously seeking education here.
I guess the straight thing for now is our poor architect got no work everyday.

just elongate the holes and use screws ..velcro might work too
if we could get the earth to spin faster, all buildings would tend to self-straighten, as long as they had good positive connections at all levels
