I've been looking into UK firms lately for a project. I have basic knowledge of some of the more known and or larger firms, but I would prefer a younger, more local, emerging practice. Any suggestions?
What I meant is it would be helpful if they Conveniently located in London, however I am open to other firms who practice else where in the uk or internationally. I suppose the key to my question was I am looking for a young, emerging firm.
I believe London might be a slow at the moment- Architects there have the highest unemplyment rate of ALL professions. I was laid off thats why I left and I have an ivy leauge masters. Here in Australia there is no recession and our firm is hiring.

define "more local" - maybe a specific location (London, Scotland, Manchester) or do you mean "a UK-based firm that mainly works in the UK"?
Specifically London, but I don't want to rule out any other firms based on location.

But yes a London based firm would be helpful

forgot to say..This was early in 2009- might be better now tho..
it is picking up a bit. def a seller's market at the mo tho. firms take months to take a decision of hiring even one person.
