In architectural rendering field, there are two major styles : traditional illustrations and computer renderings. They are different of cause. A traditional rendering like watercolor was more soft looking while the architecture part was a bit fuzzy. On the other side, a computer rendering is so real that there is no space left for imagination!
We have been trying to combine these two styles together. We use software to built up a 3d model and depict the architecture; And then watercolor entourage is applied and digitized.
The final effect is accepted by many architects and developers.
As in terms of project turnaround, this approach saves tons of time.
i personally find it too soft, but i can see many Retail projects loving it...they appreciate warmth, and ambience, and these soft renderings can capture that well...
question though, is there any actual watercolor involved in the renderigns?
Interesting... but feels a bit too Thomas Kinkade meets Disney for me. Personally I would like to see something more along the lines of Syd Mead concept art:

Of cause. Huh. That's a new one. . .
Do you use Corel Painter?

Except for the backgrounds, Syd Mead would be really easy to do with a combo render in bluish light -> brush out in Painter -> outlines overlay.
water color rendering can go to hell!
Love Syd Mead
"Of course" is probably the intended phrase. Or, in Per-speak, "off course" !
Dinosaur Museum
I took a whack at this just for shits and giggles. Tell me how awful I am.
The red lighting on the dinosaur's back is the most impressive part, to me.
. . .by which I meant, nice job !
