Is a license required for similar fields?

Paradox

I just want to broaden my options.I'm interested in similar fields like lighting design, exhibit design or set design but the question is do I need to have an architectural license in order to work in these fields? Considering I'd like to have my OWN business someday..

i dont think you need a license...but if you want to work in exhibit design/engineering you better learn how to build things... not just draw them but actually work in a shop and understand the millwork/carpentry side of things. it's 1 thing to draw a box/cube buts its another thing to understand dado's/rabbets/assembly production/etc...
