advanced/sustainable interior design philosophy for Subway system

Xing

I am looking into sort of advanced/sustainable design philosophy for an interior subway system design, based on a finished structure, layout, MEP subway project in Asia.

The interior design might focus on the sustainable material, color, pattern, identity, decoration, program, etc.

should you have there any reference books, or case studies, please let me know.

thanks.

Not sure if it's relevant to what you're looking for, but Ando Tadao's new(ish) subway station in Shibuya(Tokyo) is known for its ventilation system. It combines naturally rising hot air from the trains as well as plant life along the walls to create/encourage some sort of convection cell.
I think I remember reading that it has a net effect of cooling the city as opposed to contributing more heat...

Take all this with a grain of salt, but it may be an example worth looking into on your part.

Hope that helps
