I need to use a laser cutter to make a model for a competition project and I was just wondering if anybody could recommend a place, I am located in NYC.
I'm doing the competition by myself on the side so hopefully it wouldn't be too expensive.
I realize i've been pimping the hackerspace thing lately, but maybe ask the folks at NYC resistor if they'll let you use their laser cutter if you supply the materials (and maybe a six-pack).
they might not like it if you're going to make a regular thing of it though...

kennedy fabrications.....
These Columbia grads currently have a "special" price, charging $50/hour until June 30th for their service. Seems reasonable.
Does anybody have experience using these guys:

I have done some laser-cutting projects with anyline recently.
they were pretty helpful and accomodating.
i would definitely recommend them.

Thank you guys for the info :)
broadening this out to anywhere, anyone know any good companies that do mail order laser cutting, and also supply materials that can be mailed?
I'm having trouble finding places that will do a small one off sheet for a reasonable amount of money.
OR and carnegie mellon students want to run a sheet or two for me?
