SHE SAID WELL DONE! COULD IT BE? (I CAN'T ACCESS THE SITE, SO I WILL JUST PASS OUT TYVM)
so exciting you guys!! congrats...unfortunately, i will not be able to attend the open house, as i live too far away to afford the plane ticket...but i wish i could :(
I still have nothing...no email, no status update...I hope this doesn't mean waitlist. I hope this means it takes a while to send out all the emails. :(
imfalling- I found a PDF on the general Princeton website that detailed admissions statistics for the School of Architecture. Last year they had somewhere around 570 applicants and admitted 6% - so they admit roughly 34 people every year.
Of that they have a 75% yield rate- creating class sizes of about 24 people.
The stats on the PDF were more detailed but this was the general breakdown.
That's so awesome Raz! Big congrats! Now I'm really curious about your portfolio. Do you have it in a pdf file? Cause if you do you can just upload it onto a website like issuu.com. It'd be great to take a peek.
yes, Razvan, pleeease share your amazing portfolio! I am sure it will be helpful to those who do not know how to razzle and dazzle the ad comms. I am of the view that there's a "standard" portfolio that will get you into any schools you want, despite whatever the schools may say on their FAQ page.
I also still have not received an email/website update from GSAPP. Maybe they do it alphabetically or order in which they received the applications. Either way, I'll be towards the end.
hang in there guys.. the wait was brutal for me as well, but as long as you get good news.. which at this point I imagine you will.. it'll be worth it.
Asking Dean Smoller before getting in can be Harsh ! But yeah... any of those in... maybe go ahead and ask the stats. I've heard GSAPP freshmen class is approx 150 ... (as opposed to Princeton's 25)
Still waiting for that 1 email from Dean Smoller :-?
