2009 AIA Convention?

m_daus

I've never been to the AIA convention and I'm very interested in going. I am planning on taking one of the workshops on ARE 4.0.

Who has gone before? Thoughts...? Was it what you expected?
Is it worth attending?

(FYI, I recently became an AIA member so I would not be paying for the convention, only for the workshop that I wish to attend.)

My colleagues at work are divided on the topic. One is pro AIA, active member and the other is not. Any comments and or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The AIA is an excellent way to network in the profession, learn from professional development seminars, see a great city, and meet with manufacturers at the exhibit.

Be proactive and take full advantage of it. Attend as much as you are able --

Enjoy!

Thanks Dr. Architecture, I am looking forward to seeing what/who all is there. Should be fun.
