I would recommend looking into these landscape architects in DC--

Michael Vergason Landscape Architects, Alexandria

Don Hoover, principal, Oculus, DC

Jon Fink, principal, LAB (Landscape Architecture Bureau), DC

Sandy Youssef Clinton, Hyattsville

Sheila Brady and Eric Graft, principals, Oehme Van Sweden, DC

Roger Courtenay, principal, EDAW

Lardner Klein, Alexandra

Rhodeside and Harwell, Alexandria

i heard that OvS has bunkered down to weather the storm and doesn't seem to be poised to hire any time soon.

Who hasn't bunkered down? But there is still good work happening in DC.

There is also a very small GGN office in DC. Rodrigo Abela, a principal, moved to DC from the Seattle office. He is also someone to watch.
