I am looking for some kind of affordable wood siding. I have a pile of Parlex samples that are really nice, but at $10 sf ($320 a sheet), that ain't cheap!
Any ideas? I am looking into Prodema, but it looks similar and I assume it'd cost close to that.
The Parlex rezin-based plywood is expensive stuff for sure. On the "cheap" end of things is your standard T-111 plywood siding. I have seen this stuff detailed very well and in a modern sort of way (so it does not come off as barn-like).

although not a revolutionary product, its dimensional stability and ease of workability make hardi-board materials affordable and good to work with:

they have a variety of plank and panel products...
