"I loved 'quondam' — I loved the sound of the word, the way it"

From A Nose for Words an essay by Joshua Henkin in NYT...

Like.

I also love "quotidian". Beautifully common. Maybe something about the forming of the "kwuh" sound is attractive.

Donna, the reason i posted this was to be honest for all these years, i didn't know (until reading this essay) that quondam was a real word. It was always just associated in my mind with Archinect...

I mistakenly associated quondam with quandary.

Without the "kwuh" it would be condom, totally unrelated:(

Goofing around is a good antidote to stress.  It means nothing.  Being in a work setting that lacks humor is almost like having teeth pulled.

I don't follow sci-fi, so I assumed it was a mythical character in that genre.
