I also love "quotidian". Beautifully common. Maybe something about the forming of the "kwuh" sound is attractive.

I prefer quondrum.
I mistakenly associated quondam with quandary.
Without the "kwuh" it would be condom, totally unrelated:(

Goofing around is a good antidote to stress. It means nothing. Being in a work setting that lacks humor is almost like having teeth pulled.
I don't follow sci-fi, so I assumed it was a mythical character in that genre.
