I was just wondering what was an effective/clean/easy-to-use way to keep everything from life, school, and work organized. I'm starting m.arch and don't want to get any more overwhelmed than I have to. Is sticking to pda/smartphones or old school day planners the best way to keep track of studio and other assignments? Thanks for any help.
This may seem odd, and is definitely low tech, but I wish someone had told me this piece of wisdom when I started grad school:
Learn to say no.
The ability to prioritize all the possible events/tasks/requests that come at you (from work, school, family, friends, other), then choose the ones that are most worth your time and energy, is a really important tool in organizing your life --at any time, but especially in that pressure cooker known as graduate school.
