Rhino Installation error

Has anyone ever had problems installing Rhino? I have tried to install it several times and I keep getting an I/O error.

First of all, I have no idea what the hell an I/O error is. And second, how do I get around this? If there is nothing I can do about this, does anyone know where I can download a version of Rhino?

don't steal

the academic version is $195 (some places have it cheaper) and the only restriction is that you can't resell the copy (other than that usage is the same as the commercial version)

Here are some places that sell Rhino:
Rhino3D.com
JourneyEd
Academic Superstore

'I/O' I believe, stands for "input/output" but what it actually means in this case I have no idea, perhaps the drive you're using is broken or maybe the disk is scratched

you're right rehiggins,

torrents are good for some software that would be otherwise unfordable for students, as you point out, rhino isn't one them. this is where i bought my copy:

I/O = Input/Output

Are you installing from a CD? If so, might be that you're experiencing trouble reading the CD. Which could mean a bad CD or a bad CD-ROM drive.

Actually... in either case, if you have legally purchased Rhino, I don't see anything wrong with downloading it from the warez site of your choice and just installing it from your hard drive. Instead of using the crack/keygen/whatever, use your own license number (either printed on the rhino cd or buried somewhere in the documentation that accompanied your purchase).

Cheers!
