I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find legible scaled drawings (plans and sections) of the VilLA NM, designed by Amsterdam based UNStudio. I am doing a school project, and one of the requirements is to reproduce the plans and sections at a 1/8" = 1' scale. There are some images on UNStudio's website, but there are no dimensions and are too small to read. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Yeah, it's really sad it burned down. Hopefully it will be able to be rebuilt someday.
I had already found most of those sites, and I guess my best bet is the article in Architectural Record which at least has a scale. Lot of good information though, thank you!
As far as I know the cause of the fire is still unknown. I do know that the owner was in New York City at the time of the fire. He had commissioned UNStudio after seeing their design for the Mobius House. The VilLA NM was a summer house for the client and his family, and as far as I know he was quite happy with the design.
Why would he have to set fire to it (unless he's some sort of totally delusional twat)?
Surely, if he didn't like it, he could have just sold it and made a bucket load of money. That house was one of UN Studio's most published projects. Doesn't sound right.
VilLA NM Diagrams?

apart from finding in a publication somewhere?
no idea
you can always estimate scale based on width of doors, which are usually around 900mm wide (3ft) or so.
diagrams or dimensioned drawings?
there are a number of articles you can download from the media section of their website..
they have a relatively new book out, I remember thinking it had good documentation on most of their recent projects. Check it out if possible
there was an article in arch.record
And here too: noticiasarquitectura
Didn't realize it had burned down...That sucks

is the burning still suspect? there was speculation the owner had it torched because he didn't like it or soemthing along those lines.

GA document...Projects 2006 or 2007 has published it
the book is at home, so I can't confirm right now.

GA Houses #92 / Project 2006 and their book "After Images" have detailed plans and sections. Like jump said, you should be able to estimate the scale.
I can think of several other buildings I would rather see burned to the ground!
Thank you, crave!
