Does anyone have a good idea of a term / quote / phrase talking about the tradition of the future or the future of tradition?
The Changing of the Avant-Garde
i always liked the line that was on a t-shirt i got at checkpoint charlie in 1990, accompanying a picture of the berlin wall partially torn down: 'the future isn't what it used to be.' i've still got that t-shirt somewhere.
tradition of the future = utopianism future of tradition = new urbanism
"Haven't you heard, Zeitgeist is so yesterday!" --über œuvred e suicidal
wasn't this supposed to be the future?
dystopia = cyberpunk
jafidler.... Are you a fan of the new urbanism concept? I truly hope that an idea of the future tradition has to be new urbanism.
when they said repent, repent. i wonder what they meant...
