I'd just like to thank any vets out there for their service to this country.
If anyone else thinks the lack of appropriate services for returning vets is an embarrassment, perhaps now would be a good time to head over to the website for your Senators and Representatives on a National and State level and let them know that our vets need better treatment and services in return for their sacrifice and service.
Good call. Thank you for posting this because what Memorial Day is about didn't even cross my mind until I saw this. I was just like...oooh a day off, cool! Anyways, yeah, you can hate the war but deeply respect (most of) the soldiers.
Yes, the idea of wishing people a Happy Memorial Day is rather ludicrous as it was originally a solemn day to honor those who had paid the ultimate price. Now its a sale day...
