Benefits of having a Masters in the UK?

zoolander

Heres the scenario,

I am finsihing the Barch currently & I am thinking of spending an extra year to complete a masters.

Im in two minds about doing the masters.

What benefits would a masters graduate have in the working environment?

Is it really an advantage over lesser qualified architects?

I know it is not necessary to become registered.

Thanks

Ian

Some Part II courses are already re-graded as Masters degrees. I don't see the point of getting a Masters just for the letters after your name. Some of the postgraduate degrees seem to be valued by employers because of their content - for example the MSc's in sustainable design.

there is a benefit to being registered if you want to make money.

you probably know more about the programs if you are actually in the UK, but many of the schools (well okay the AA and the Bartlett) seem to have so many possibilities for specializing (or specialising) in specific areas.

The accent is cool too, but I have come to prefer the native German to English accent better.
