Material Research

Sweets is not as helpful as I remember. Anyone have any other material research sites besides the Sweets Catalog?

Is there a particular material you are looking for?

yeah dread, I stopped the scroll and did a double take on that image... but then I imagined an image like the one below in my mind and thought sadly, the common electrical cord will hardly become an object of beauty even with an outlet as such.

hey kingofeverything, did you create the original poster's user account just so you can plug your website again?

bpmselect.com returns decent results, but takes FOREVER to load on more complex search terms. Your CSI masterformat organization is nice, but I would also recommend an option for uniformat numbering as well, seeing as many offices are switching to BIM, and uniformat works much better with that.

by uniformat numbering do you mean identifying manufacturers by the CSI broadscope numbers.....or is there another numbering system to identify manufacturers and products that I am not aware of...

like B2022 is Curtain Walls, where:

B stands for Shell
Level 2 is B20 Exterior Enclosure
Level 3 is B2020 Exterior Windows
Level 4 is B2022 Curtain Walls

It's a much more intuitive way of working with Revit specs, as everything is grouped by function, as opposed to trade, material or construction method.
