Hello All. I am looking for some recommendations of good build design firms in the Northeast. I am interested in starting this type of firm and I would like to look at some examples of some other successful firms to learn from.
Look, the OP is "interested in starting this type of firm" but may have issues of basic understanding of the concept. design-build can mean 500 different things but the unifying principle is that there is no formal bid process.
If OP wants to do that, they should perhaps find a job working for a firm that does that. Otherwise it's just a weird question worthy of a weird answer.
rusty.. i'm not sure the question is that obtuse..but i could be wrong...and your comments seem to show your typical cynicism/sarcasm, but hey..i could be wrong.
here's a firm that i've heard of in philly: http://greensawdesign.com/work.html
not sure how good their work is in person.
i also like http://www.m1dtw.com/... in detroit. not sure if they're typical of 'design/build', but i think their projects are interesting.
maybe for rusty.'s sake you could flush out your question a bit more?

Build Design Firm in the Northeast

Great thing about build-design is that since you are building it first, you can totally fudge the design part.
Even more popular is the build-design-bid, where you just skip town before needing to pay anyone for work completed.
Careful though, this is only legal in the Eastnorth.
rusty as always with the helpful comment.
lars, you and me buddy!
