sections with elevations

have any of you done those wall sections that jog to show the elevation?

im doing an exterior stair and i want to do a section down half and jog my section line to show it in elevation.

i dont know how to show the seperation, just visually to me mine dosnt look right. i know ive seem them done in the past and its nice and easy to understand. but i cant find any good examples

if you have an exampe of one of these sections. can you please post

so .. you want to add a break line, half in elevation half in section

(rotate that thing 90 degrees or whatever looks best)

i love a good perspective section... mmmmm hmmmm, the most information you can get out of a presentation drawing i think.... they are a personal favorite

^ i agree and if you use Rhino and have the archcut plug-in you can 'cut' your model wherever you want and render that sectional perspective or 'make2D' for a line drawing.
