Does anyone knows who makes/fabricates, this kind of facade systems?? (or blinds, sun shades, or whatever u wanna call them) any help/hint will be highly appreciated
alot of times, they are designed, not a system. from my experience.
this looks relatively simple..
hinge, track, fasteners, slats -possibly some pneumatics...
yes i saw that one yesterday, kind of ugly no?? specially if its a residential project, i hate those industrial yellow straps they have, im sure there's something more "refined" out there....
yes, the cable could be an option, still i find annoyingly big the bearing plate and "lift drum" they have...but i guess that also can vary its size acordingly to how long the cable would be.... well if not, its a really good guide to do a "designed" system as HOLZ was suggesting....
yeah,i noticed that same company has a hydraulic lift door too, definitely cleaner look on the 'interior' side... I'm personally looking bifolds for my specific project this morning so i was bit geeked to see the post
still... seems the BIFOLD system could be better than JONKMAN.. in terms that JONKMAN has railings every too often, and BIFOLD shows bigger doors without supports in between panels
well yes we r using something like the NANA SYSTEM in other project... its actually www.centrorarchitectural.com and there's other similar system by the germans DORMA that is very cool too.... thanx mdler
ando has an apartment building which the wall folds up onto massive balconies. There is an impressive web site, most of the units have been sold and they run in the millions....so it might be a tad over budget.
Try Nysan Shading Systems LP / Arc Structures, Inc...they're a subsidiary of Hunter Douglas. They have really helpful reps too. We were going to use them for movable shading devices on a project until those got VE'd out.

an issue i do see is the strap system they use, but there are others that use cables...

The custom ones from bifold are sweet!

yeah seems bifold is capable enough to do quite nice custom designs
not that it is what you are looking for, but nana walls can accomplish the same opening sizes in a sliding configuration
