its all about your location. metals are recycled by scrap dealers, other stuff is found at architectural salvage and de-construction yards. look in the yellow pages.
or buy perforated panels from mcmaster, drop them off the side of a building a few times, spray them with salt water and wait for them to rust. voila! instant 'used' perforated metal panels.

Anyone have any leads on sources for recycled metal materials such as perforated steel panels?
Any other leads on companies that specialize in recycled materials would be great too!
