work in atlanta?

asd

where do you search for jobs in atlanta?
seems like archinect has pages upon pages of posts all around the country (ny, cali etc...) except for georgia.
isn't there supposed to be a construction boom in the atlanta?
there was a post from las in the ajc, and some others...
maybe georgia is more interested in development than architecture...

check out the Career Center at AIA.org ... it's currently got 19 job postings for Georgia (most are in Atlanta)

AIA Career Center - click on "Browse Jobs" ... then click on "Georgia"

if you can't get a gig with the aforementioned starchitect where does a lowly intern go? from what i understand they're only about 40 strong

will you get just as good of an experience with a specialist as opposed to a generalist?

maybe the first wave of the much talked about recession is starting in the southeast or maybe the southeast doesn't really use archinect to post jobs. might be good to grab a educational/healthcare job to ride the wave...

: do you even bother to read the posts that people supply in response to your question?

Now there are 23 job postings on the AIA Career Center for Georgia -- all but three are in Atlanta

nicey, do are you at gsd? mack and merril love those harvard grads.

asd, what are you interested in learning/doing? there are a few good boutique firms who do decent design work and many corporate spots to work at.

bucku,

fun, laid-back atmosphere, maybe 20 people (the really small offices worry me with this recession thing looming)

small to medium-sized projects. office with good detailing experience.
cds are beautifully put together just like any other presentation.

maybe some design input but i've been told to forget about designing in the intern years.

an office where i have a decent chance of getting in. i really don't think i fit those hot grad profiles.
