Finding drawings (floor plans, sections, elevations) of built buildings

Hello,

I need to find the elevations and floor plans of several buildings in NYC New York. I'm wondering if there is anything like ZIMAS (http://zimas.lacity.org/ which is for Los Angeles) for New York, where surveying information is given on the dimensions of the building.  Alternatively, is there a resource that provides floorplans and elevations of buildings in NYC?

As far as I know with NYC, there's not a lot of options for this unless you know someone who works in facilities in a particular building.

FLOOR PLANS NY requires an account and I didn't check to see if it was a paid account or not.

The NYC Dob has a service through 311 (in the city). I am going to assume that calling will send you to an operator, then department, then forms or something to that effect. I am not sure to what level of detail you are looking for since a lot of tenants / offices / entities don't issue their plans openly for security reasons.

If it's just building footprint, it's not perfect and it's often not up to date but Propertyshark.com has some general information. I will emphasize again, general. information.

If you are trying to make a 3d model for example, I have seen ppl use Google Maps to create massing models. Not precise but can be effective depending on the level of detail you are modelling.
