I need to find the elevations and floor plans of several buildings in NYC New York. I'm wondering if there is anything like ZIMAS (http://zimas.lacity.org/ which is for Los Angeles) for New York, where surveying information is given on the dimensions of the building. Alternatively, is there a resource that provides floorplans and elevations of buildings in NYC?
The NYC Dob has a service through 311 (in the city). I am going to assume that calling will send you to an operator, then department, then forms or something to that effect. I am not sure to what level of detail you are looking for since a lot of tenants / offices / entities don't issue their plans openly for security reasons.
If it's just building footprint, it's not perfect and it's often not up to date but Propertyshark.com has some general information. I will emphasize again, general. information.
If you are trying to make a 3d model for example, I have seen ppl use Google Maps to create massing models. Not precise but can be effective depending on the level of detail you are modelling.

Finding drawings (floor plans, sections, elevations) of built buildings
Hello,
I need to find the elevations and floor plans of several buildings in NYC New York. I'm wondering if there is anything like ZIMAS (http://zimas.lacity.org/ which is for Los Angeles) for New York, where surveying information is given on the dimensions of the building. As far as I know with NYC, there's not a lot of options for this unless you know someone who works in facilities in a particular building.
FLOOR PLANS NY requires an account and I didn't check to see if it was a paid account or not.
