I'm trying to track down a timber-blade celing fan for a house I'm doing at the moment, there are some superb metal finished examples around but all the timber fans are all rather tacky. Can anybody point me in the direction of simple, modern timber blade example?
Assumin you mean blades are wood finish there are a few companies that make ceiling fans and may show metal blades on the front pages but offer different finishes. Like this one of many by Modern Fan Company or the s3 by Casablanca. Of course if the custom fan that Steve mentioned sounds like a great idea... especially if it fits the budget.

these guys will do custom, so they're worth a call even if they don't SHOW timber.

or you can try buying a cheap hunter fan and replacing the blades with the wood you like. Its a straight forward option
