My favorite Sunday brunch place is Le Monde at Broadway and 113th, up near Columbia. It's nothing special architecturally, but it's damn good food and not too expensive.

(the wall street location)... Nothing crazy, but it is in a historic building with cool exposed brick work. Their food and specialty drinks are slammin.

b bar at 4th st and bowery or something..near cooper union. it's an indoor/outdoor space and they have heaters for the winter if you want to eat outside. and there are a couple construction sites nearby which may or may not have something for you to see. http://www.bbarandgrill.com/

there's another place on essex and rivington that is in an old factory or something which is somewhat interesting. http://www.essexnyc.com/ and you can see three of ltl's work, narchitects building and tschumi's building while you walk it off.

not so sure if they have brunch menu... I've also never been in because I'm scared about how much it costs

if you want to go one stop into north brooklyn, there's some decent places in williamburg, the Roebling Tea Room is in the first floor of an old factory building (but has some of the worst service I've ever encountered), and Relish is located in an old 50's style diner car and has a really good brunch.

does it have to be brunch? what about an early lunch? 12pm lunch could go either way you know.

don't know for sure the status of brunch at either of these places, but they're sure architecturally noteworthy...and spendy:
