Glassel Park (North East LA) has perception of being a sketchy neighborhood that just started to gentrify beyond the bohemians that colonized the heights of mount washington.
the architecture is too 'unique' for most people. But the 800K seems right in line with that hood.

by looking at his website yes, you are correct - fritz haeg bought it in 2000.

You know, a 5K monhtly payment would fit my budget pretty nicely.
They had to knock off a couple hundred thousand because most people can't get through the bedroom door:
