LEED, BREEAM, CASBEE - the certification thread

Since the USGBC discussion fora doesn't get much traffic and to aggregate all the threads on the subject into one central place i'm launching this thread. Ok, I'll even encourage folks getting accredited to discuss study strategies 'round here.

BREEAM is the UK forerunner that inspired LEED, CASBEE is the japanese equivalent with cooler graphics, then there is Greenglobes, and Energystar trying to quantify how green is your project. Title 24 rules California, who also spun off CHPS (and now the USGBC is trying to muscle LEED for Schools onto that turf, but CHPS is free versus paying for the LEED certification). Carbon Calculators are the new rage, while LCA is fading into the background - but does this all make a difference?
