Search Portland in the forums. You'll find everything you need to know. Allied Works, Holst, Opsis, Skylab, Architecture W are some small to medium sized firms. ZGF, Sera, Sienna, Boora are some larger firms.
avoid zgf like the plague - people were jumping ship left and right about a year ago. even management. isn't hacker in pdx as well?
Michael Czysz at Architropolis rocks. But if you're an intern make sure you re working under a registered architect there - not sure if Michael is. Is Thompson/Vaivoda still around? And the wacky guy....what was his name...

i got it from people that bailed, but they might have been talking about the seattle office.
