so...I just realised that there is both a Hiroshi Sugimoto and an Olafur Ellison retrospective in San Francisco soon

I will be heading north (with tumbles) so we should have a meet-up

just realized...the SF version of PARK(ing) is on the 21st of September.

In a mad moment of recent epiphany, I decided to try and get involved. I'm hoping (for the moment) to get some BBQ pieces donated by one of my restaurant suppliers and have one of my local chef buddies team up with me and make one a BBQ in the PARK(ing).

I'll keep y'all posted...if it's going to happen, I might need your help hauling turf and charcoal into town!

either way, if you're in town for the exhibits, we'll meet up somehow.

should be nice weather right around then...the best part of the year!

I'm going to be in SF on the weekend of 14-16 Sept for the Dwell Conference. The Sugimoto / Ellison exhibitions sound interesting but I might be too early for them.

I was just up at the de Young this past week...the Sugimoto exhibit was phenomenal.
