hints:
i've been told the building is LEED certified Gold, but they are fighting for Platinum...it's attached to the barn in the background of the photo, and to a farmhouse not pictured above...

Looks like a close up of the panels at the Ricola Warehouse by H&deM. But I could be wrong.

Also, if you post an asnwer be prepare to post a new image ASAP, or turn it over to someone else. No more waiting god dammit!

only use these [ ], not these { }

phuyaka - i looked last night, all i could find was a reference to an insulation mat. but it looks more like OSB, so i'm thinking the glass imprint is from an insulation mat.

and yeah, the belmont lofts are nice. though if you tried to do that in seattle, people would complain and complain...

and that's um, the church at the alamo..

but who was the architect for the alamo?!

phuyaka...i am digging that wheat like board h&dm used...you are up!

can't find an architect.. but it was established by Fray Antonio de Olivares in 1718. so there's that.

simples... its really nice when you see it in person, between that texture in the rear facade and the screen printed concrete in the front, it has a lot of interesting surface treatments. I like a lot of Hdem's earliest work the best when they were experimenting with new materials. I have some more pictures of it and some others on my struggling flickr page. I'll be adding more images eventually.

is it still a furniture store on the ground floor of the schuetzenmattstrasse apartments?

did you catch the michael alder and morger + degelo projects in basel?

Nov 21, 07 12:22 pm  ·
 ·
phuyaké

when we went, the storefront was closed up, so I couldn't see into it... we had to wait for someone to leave the building to get through the door.

I have a lot of M&D, diener and diener, and about 10 other Hdem projects to add... including about 300 others from my trip that i'll slowly be including as I get around to it. I'll revive the flickr thread once I get something more substantial.

actually maybe it was open... and it was a furniture store, i dont really remember to tell you the truth.. this was 2002 so who knows what it is now.
