There was talk from the last discussion about having one more meet up before the end of the summer. What do people think about having a meet up next Wed (22nd) or Friday (24th)? Should we try Goodworld again or there was also talk of trying out Brooklyn (Williamsburg or Carroll Gardens)?
Isn't Cafe Habana in Fort Greene just a food truck with some benches? Or at least it was the last time I went there. Brooklyn Social is great bar, but gets too packed for a meet up. There's also the Boat.
too bad, i'll miss out....especially since it sounds like the meetup will finally land in my backyard....
you could always meet up at floyd's on atlantic ave.....it's a pretty good size place and has it's own bocce court.
I'm trying to schedule appointments this week with prospective landlords and roommates, so it would be helpful to know what evening we plan on meeting. Anybody have a strong preference for one evening or the other? Is there anybody who can't make it one evening or the other?
Either evening is fine with me, but it would be nice to know beforehand so that I can schedule my appointments around the event.
i think friday night would work best considering we'd have
three more days for people to figure out what's goin on..
where we're going to go and such...it could be early so
people could still go out afterwards or whateva..
Oh, I've been away for so long.....finally have some internet access again. I'd be interested in meeting up Friday night too....have we decided on a location?
can't make this one either, leaving town on friday to pick up a truck so i can start construction on my newly acquired loft.. one of these times i'll make it
Floyd, NY is centrally located in downtown Brooklyn. We are located at 131 Atlantic Avenue, between Henry and Clinton Streets. We are on the border of Brooklyn Heights and Carroll Garden.
F, G Trains: Get off at Bergen Street and walk to Atlantic Avenue. Make a left and walk several blocks.
2, 3, 4, 5 Trains: Get off at Borough Hall. Walk down Court Street, make a right on Atlantic Avenue and walk 2 blocks.
N, R Trains: Get off at Court Street. Walk down Court Street, make a right on Atlantic Avenue and walk 2 blocks.

Finally, a NYC meet-up I can attend. I vote for somewhere in Carroll Gardens, but I'm not picky.
dang, ill still be in atlanta or else i'd show
i'm in. either day works for me.
second Carroll Gardens, but anywhere would be ok. looks like it's going to rain all week, so someplace indoors.
I'm cool with Carrol Gardens. Someone pick a place.
its not carrol gardens, but i've heard the cafe habana in fort greene is great, maybe for a fall meetup?

i don't know any places in carrol gardens, but its convenient for me - either day is good so far.

So what's it going to be, tomorrow or Friday? Either day works for me.

Sounds like a plan.... How about Friday at 7 PM, at a location yet to be determined? (Bonus points if said location also serves food.)
i'm in, +1...probably won't be there (wherever it is) until closer to 8pm.
brooklyn is fine...floyd's on atlantic ave sounds good to me...but anywhere reasonably close to a mta station is cool.
Unfortunately, something has come up for my Friday evening. If I can make it, it'll be after 10. Floyd's sounds like a good pic though.

So 7PM this Friday at Floyds on Atlantic. Is everybody cool with that.
Works for me... Does Floyd's serve food? If not, I can always grab a bite to eat nearby.
Floyds doesn't have food but on the same block there's the Chipshop and Waterfront Ale house that both serve food.
Floyd's website is floydny.com
i can probably get there around 8 or so...
(bumping this thread to keep it on the first page)
