water containers & gunite?

_MLD

Is anyone familiar with the following hotel?

http://www.hotelbasico.com/

I need some info & details to construct a small (8' diameter/square at the least), unique, and low budget (8k) pool... maybe you could call it a cooling pond...

Does anyone have contact info to share so i can get in touch with the group that designed Hotel Basico? even maybe who constructed the pool in the first picture on the hotel's website?

or

Does anyone one know of where (in the states, preferably south central like Texas) i could get a section of a steel silo, water storage tank, or anything about that size that i could gunite?

i've already poked around previous discussions here but i didn't find anything (maybe someone will prove me wrong though).

mucho thanx

for the basico tubs.

You should look into the water troughs they put at the bottom of windmills. Silos are huge.

thanks...that seems so obvious, right? not all silos are huge though i've found a few silo co. in north States that had 12' dia. but they were all concrete.

^Note this is someone who's family has a farm and a ranch in TX. I actually used to swim in those troughs as a kid. Here's a picture of an elevated tank similar to what I'm talking about.

Just called my dad. It's called a stock tank. Hard to get them in metal these days. Most are made by Rubbermade.

so, i'm checking out the softub site & i don't think this is it. because the largest size is about 6'. it doesn't look like it'll receive a platform well plus there's a detail photo of the exposed plumbing. i'll try to post the link but i'm never successful at it, sorry.

why not get milled 3/4 MS plate to your 8' radius - plasma it to shape and get a commercial welder to do the rest. It will be fun to see if the welds can hold up the pressure.

otherwise go industrial
