The totally unofficial Stirling Prize poll

Norman Blogster

As you know, the Stirling Prize shortlist was announced last week.
I'm running an unofficial poll on PartIV to get the humble architect's view on who should win it.

Clearly, you probably won’t have gone to all, if any, of the buildings in person. So this is a bit of an experiment in the consumption of mediated architecture - architecture as viewed through the press by architects.

It will be interesting to see if the winner of the mediated architecture by the humble architect is the same as that of the unmediated architecture by the distinguished jury.

See more here:

I will try and collate a number of reviews on the shortlisted buildings (if I can find them) to help you, the humble architect, in your voting. The first of these is here:

It would be great to get a ton of votes to make it a bit less meaningless than it clearly is, so if you think it's not a complete waste of email, please tell your mates.

Cheers.

I don't think it's a great bunch this year. I like Chipperfield's library, but its a shame there isn't something a bit edgier to root for.
