I had a bunch of those on when I was in Arch School 20 years a go, I had no idea Madonna wore them or Thom Mayne .. I took them off when I got married, 15 years ago. I seem to recall they were just a bunch of O rings ( the kind that failed when the space shuttle blew up )

um yeah, they're called jelly bracelets and can be found here.
though, if you remember this story, you might wanna make sure you get the right color.
