Yeah, it's pretty easy to design your own out of sheet metal and then any contractor with a brake can fabricate it.
is there a particular type of metal that works best? i mean with water constantly running on it, wouldn't the metal rust?
Oh yeah, you can specify a waterproof coating on aluminum - think gutters, that's what they're made of, your scupper is basically just a big gutter.
may i suggest:
Non iron based metals such as bronze and copper will not rust.
Scupper is one of my favorite words. Also, in the S's, Sputnik and snickerdoodle.
