Good people of Archinect - ThinKing needs you! We are currently unteraking some ad-hoc research on arcitects fees internationally.
Might I ask the Archinect community to state the following:
i) Location (Country only please)
ii) % of the overall project budget that you charge on average
it's difficult to put it that simply this it's based on many factors, mainly the size of the project, the type of commission (public or private) and the scale of the mission (esquisse, development drawings, complete mission, including furnitures or not...).
and recently i heard there is a china's developer paying $1 million US dollars to a supposingly stararchitect (whom i never heard of) juz do a conceptual masterplan for a real estate development...
sometimes is great to be classified as a star or whatever that pays good.

great, i was about to start the same thread.
1) Hong Kong.
2) for making conceptual proposal, usually 20% discount from the institutional recommendation -
for administrating the whole construction process, not more than 4% of the construction cost...
i know is low and is quite embarrassing...
