LEED question. heat island

superduct

why is the CRI requirement lower [28] for roofs with > 2/12 slope?

does it have to do with the angle of incidence that the sun hits it?

yup & welcome to archinect!

energystar describes the physical qualities of cool roofs in depths and was the basis for SS7.2. If you want more, review the CIRs

the other side of steep slope roofs is that they shed dirt and so maintain the original albedo better then low slope roofing materials.
